THE 4 STAGES OF THE LEARNING PROCESS

YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW

You can’t know what you don’t know, and You don’t know what you don’t know. In February of 2012, when I weighed just over 300lbs at right around 46% body fat, I intentionally sat down and focused my mind on who I wanted to be instead of who I was. I saw myself eating vegetables, lean proteins, & drinking water; I imagined myself, one day, waking up and feeling great, lifting weights, running a mile or more, and I saw my physique as aesthetically pleasing and I desired nothing more than to look into the mirror and see that version of myself. I did not know that I had just used hypnosis to program my subconscious.

How could I? You can’t know what you do not know. I just thought everyone did this, but this is not true. Most people have no idea how to activate mirror neurons through intentional self hypnosis, and even I did not know that I had done this until many years later when studying Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

THE 4 STAGES OF COMPETENCE (LEARNING PROCESS)

As you read over these 4 Stages of the Learning Process, it is important to realize that every day we are all introduced to concepts that we have never heard of and therefore can not have any cognitive ability to comprehend them. The first stage is total ignorance, the second stage is being aware of our ignorance concerning a subject, the third stage is where most people stop entirely satisfied with knowing what it is and being able to comprehend it while concentrating, the final stage is where our experts live where they demonstrate that which they know unconsciously because of mastery.

  1. Unconscious Incompetence
  2. Conscious Incompetence
  3. Conscious Competence
  4. Unconscious Competence 

If you want to alter the course of your life, if you want to reach goals, if you want to destroy a flaw in your character, one must alter the subconscious drivers which are causing those unwanted outcomes, and most people do not know how to do this and therefore are stuck in Unconscious Incompetence and incapable of knowing what they do not know.

LEARNING WHAT YOU DO NOT KNOW

If you are currently failing at reaching your goals, it is time for you to acknowledge that you don’t know what you don’t know. This is absolutely ok, and temporary if you choose to learn now. We can’t know what we don’t know yet. If you are at all interested in achieving your goals, overcoming the obstacles in your life, or altering a behavior, then you must learn a few techniques that are easy to duplicate.

What are the 2 ways to activate mirror neurons, limbic system, and therefore create new subconscious programming? Visualization & Vocalization are easy to perform by using hypnosis or NLP. This is a necessary practice in order to clearly articulate and vividly create a clear picture so that the brain can determine the unconscious mechanisms which will bring this to pass. There is a pattern to follow in order to ensure that you are capable of doing this effectively instead of the “name it claim it” type of exercise that is proposed in the pseudo-scientific nonsense found in books like The Secret or the sophistry espoused by Deepak Chopra, and we call this effective model the P.U.R.E. model.

CREATING WELL FORMED & P.U.R.E. OUTCOMES

Summary: The Mirror Neurons of the Brain influence Learning & Create Behaviors which are Easy to Duplicate When the Brain “Sees” these Behaviors, and one way of seeing these behaviors is within the imagination. When we create Well-Formed Outcomes, we must focus on making them P.U.R.E.

Is it ever a good idea to try to control the behavior of another person? How does it make you feel when someone tries to control your behavior? If you don’t wish to be controlled, then don’t wish to control another; focus on the outcome being Under Your Control, and that means that you have to focus on your own behavior.

Your well formed outcome must be preframed in a REAL way, How does it Look? How Does it Feel, Sound, Taste, & even Smell when you have arrived at that outcome?

When an environment is well balanced, it has a productive “Ecology.” We must be able to enjoy the outcomes we will have once we arrive at that destination, if there is any part of our nature that does not want or think we deserve that outcome, our brains will find ways of stopping us from reaching those goals.
