STOP A TRIGGER
WHAT IS A TRIGGER?
Some People Immediately Know what I mean when I refer to “Stopping or Breaking a Trigger,” but others have no idea what I mean even though they themselves have their own triggers which may suit their lives and lifestyle just fine; however, for those who can honestly admit that there is something in their mind that causes them real emotional or mental stress resulting in shivers running up and down their spine, this Powerful Tool can forever Stop that Trigger.
“Every time I see her, it feels like a wound that was just reopened and it hurts like someone is hitting me in the chest.”
“When I think of an elevator, I get chills and I break out in cold sweats.”
“When I think of chocolate ice cream, I get a ball of energy in my stomach that feels like a happy energy and I have to have it, I can’t NOT eat it.”
These are a few examples of some of the words which have come out of the mouths of the clients who have hired me to help them Break through these very real emotional Triggers and connect with the bright sunshine and beautiful clarity on the other side. MAPPING THE PATTERN
Trigger. Feeling. Visual. Sound. Feeling.
Elevator. Chills. Stuck. PanicScream. FEAR.
Her. Pain. Past. Promises. HATE.
This is the pattern that we hear of or see playing out most often in the minds of our clients. So, as a Solutions based practitioner, I don’t care about the specific TRIGGER, we don’t focus on the VISUALS, or the SOUNDS, or the final FEELING(s), with this specific technique. We want to create emotional DISSOCIATION, rather than cognitive third person DISSOCIATION (ie what would Einstein do in this situation) when we Focus on Mapping the Pattern of the First Feeling.
Step One: Don’t think so much about what just caused you to feel this VERY REAL tactile wave that you feel rushing through your body and focus on the sensation and where it flows and it’s shape, and it’s intensity level on a scale from 1-10.
Step Two: Try to Focus internally and now control or reverse the flow of the energy that is moving through your emotional and nervous system, and as you do this, see if you can alter the size, location, or intensity of the sensation that you have when you are experiencing an emotional trigger.
STOPPING THE TRIGGER
Step Three: Once you have mapped the sensation and can articulate how it moves, what it feels like, its shape and intensity, and the duration that it pulses or sequences through, use your imagination to physically pull the sensation out of your body and see it in front of you like an aluminum coca-cola can or soda can.
Step 4: Ok, now Crush it.
